About Kod2Kids

Kod2Kids teaches Robotics, Coding, Artificial Intelligence and STEAM to school students from Class 1 to 12. We run live online classes (1:1 and small batches), in-school programs with partner schools, and we make our own hands-on robotics kits and class-wise activity books. Our learning is project-based and aligned with NEP 2020: students build real projects such as smart street lights, line-following robots, IoT devices and games, and showcase them on our Student Showcase.

We are a small, fast-growing team. People who join us get real ownership, direct access to the founders, and the chance to shape how thousands of children experience technology for the first time.

Role Overview

As Lead Trainer / Academic Head you will lead our team of trainers, define the grade-wise learning path, maintain the quality of live classes and school programs, and keep our curriculum aligned with NEP 2020, CBSE and ICSE expectations.

You will also take a small number of advanced classes and demo sessions yourself, so you stay close to students and parents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan new courses, project kits and activity books with the content team.
  • Keep learning outcomes aligned with NEP 2020, CBSE and ICSE and with competition requirements.

Trainer Training and Quality

  • Recruit, onboard and train trainers; run regular training and mock sessions.
  • Observe live classes, give feedback and maintain a class-quality scorecard.
  • Approve student projects and certificates on the Student Showcase.

School Programs

  • Design in-school program schedules, lab setups and trainer deployment with the School Partnerships team.
  • Visit partner schools for program launches and reviews when required.

Teaching

  • Take advanced batches, special demos and parent orientation sessions.
  • Resolve escalations from parents on learning progress.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Education or a related field.
  • 3+ years teaching robotics/coding to school students, with at least 1 year leading or training teachers.
  • Strong hands-on skills in Python, Scratch, Arduino/electronics; familiarity with AI/ML basics.
  • Ability to design lesson plans, rubrics and assessments.
  • Excellent communication in English and Hindi; confident with parents and school leadership.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

  • Academic head / curriculum lead at a coding or robotics academy.
  • Running ATL (Atal Tinkering Lab) or STEM lab programs in schools.
  • Mentoring teams for competitions such as WRO, FIRST, or science fairs.
  • Creating teacher training material or video courses.

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Class-quality scores and parent satisfaction across all trainers.
