Kod2Kids teaches children coding and robotics. We know that means parents trust us with information about their kids, and we take that seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Parents are in control
We collect a child's data only with a parent's or guardian's consent.
We never sell data
No selling, renting or trading of your or your child's personal data. Ever.
No ads aimed at kids
We don't track children for advertising or build behavioural profiles.
You can say stop
Access, correct, or delete your data, or withdraw consent, any time.
🏫Who we are
Kod2Kids ("Kod2Kids", "we", "us") is operated by Aryavart Institute of Technology Pvt.Ltd, with its registered office at Supaul, Bihar. We run live, 1:1 online coding and robotics classes for school students, sell robotics kits, and operate the website kod2kids.com.
For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act") and the rules made under it, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.
This policy applies to our website, online classes, parent dashboard, chatbot, shop, and career applications (together, our "Services").
📋What we collect
We only collect what we need to run our classes and Services well.

We do not ask for sensitive information such as Aadhaar numbers, health information, religion or caste. Please don't share such details with us.
🧒Children's privacy
Under Indian law, anyone under 18 is a child. Almost all our students are children, so this section is at the heart of our policy.
- Verifiable parental consent. We collect and use a child's personal data only after obtaining verifiable consent from their parent or lawful guardian, as required by the DPDP Act and its rules. Enrolment is always done by a parent or guardian.
- No tracking or targeted ads. We do not track or monitor children's behaviour for advertising, and we do not show targeted advertisements to children.
- Nothing that could harm a child. We do not process a child's data in any way that is likely to harm their well-being.
- Safe classrooms. Classes are 1:1 with a Kod2Kids mentor. Children are never put in contact with strangers or other students' personal details.
- Showing student work. We will only publish a child's projects, photos, videos or name (for example in our gallery or social media) with the parent's separate, explicit permission, which can be withdrawn at any time.
- Children should not submit data themselves. If we learn that we have collected a child's data without parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Parents can contact us at info@kod2kids.com.
⚙️How we use data
We use personal data only for clear, specific purposes:
- To schedule and deliver free demos and live classes, and to match your child with a suitable mentor and course.
- To track progress, share reports on the parent dashboard, and issue certificates and badges.
- To process payments, ship robotics kits, and provide invoices.
- To reply to your questions by phone, WhatsApp, email or chat, and send important service updates (such as class reminders or schedule changes).
- To send offers or newsletters to parents only if you have agreed; you can unsubscribe at any time. We never send marketing to children.
- To review job applications and contact shortlisted candidates.
- To keep our Services safe, prevent spam and fraud, and meet legal obligations.
- To improve our curriculum and website using aggregated information that does not identify anyone.
We rely on your consent for most processing, and on legitimate uses permitted by law where applicable (for example, complying with legal requirements).
🤖Chatbot & AI
Our website assistant answers questions about classes, demos and pricing. Messages you type are processed by our AI service provider to generate a reply, together with information about Kod2Kids.
Please don't share personal details (like phone numbers, addresses or your child's full name) in the chat. To book a demo, use our booking page instead.
Chat messages are used only to answer your question and improve the assistant. We do not use them for advertising. The chatbot is meant for parents; children should use it only with a parent.
🍪Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:
- Essential cookies to keep the website, shop cart and login working.
- Security cookies from Google reCAPTCHA to block spam.
- Analytics cookies [only if you use Google Analytics or similar; otherwise delete this line] to understand how visitors use our site, in aggregate.
- Embedded content cookies from YouTube when you play our videos.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, like the shop cart, may not work without essential cookies.
⏳How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete or anonymise it:
- Student and parent records: while your child is enrolled, and up to [12] months after the last class, so you can re-join or request certificates.
- Demo enquiries that don't convert: up to [6] months.
- Class recordings (if any): up to [30] days, for quality and safety review.
- Payment and invoice records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Job applications: up to [12] months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
If you withdraw consent or ask us to delete your data, we will erase it unless the law requires us to keep it.
🛡️Security
We use reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access limited to staff who need it, secure payment processing by our payment partner, and background-verified mentors trained in child-safety practices.
No system is 100% secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we will inform affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law, and take steps to limit any harm.

Under the DPDP Act, you (or a parent/guardian on behalf of a child) have the right to:

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
🌍Where your data is stored
Our data is stored with service providers who may keep it on servers in India or other countries. Any transfer outside India follows the requirements of Indian law, and our providers are required to protect your data to the standard described in this policy.
🔔Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date above, and for important changes we will notify parents by email or on the website. If a change requires fresh consent, we will ask for it.
