🎯 What are we building?

We wire many LEDs so that moving a connection makes different lights glow in turn. It is like conducting a tiny orchestra of lights with your fingers.

Wire it just like this on your breadboard. The coin cell pushes, the resistor protects, the LED glows.

⚙️ How does it work?

Electricity only lights the LED that has a complete loop. By changing which wire touches the battery, you choose the loop and so the pattern. Later, the Arduino kit will do this for you automatically with code.

🌍 Where is this used in real life?

• Festival lights that chase each other in a row use patterns.
• Ambulance and police vehicle lights flash in patterns to get attention.
• Dance floors and stage shows run light patterns with the music.

💡 What could YOU invent with it?

Design a “welcome light” for your house that shows a pattern when guests come. It could also be a signal lamp for a grandparent who cannot hear the doorbell well.
