Robotics Competition Preparation & Science Exhibition Guidance
Expert mentors help your child choose a winning idea, build a reliable working model, write the project report and present it with confidence, for school exhibitions, ATL events and robotics competitions.
How we help students stand out
Judges look for originality, a working model and a clear explanation. We coach all three.
Original idea
We brainstorm problem-solving ideas linked to real issues: water, energy, safety, health.
Reliable build
Step-by-step guidance so the model works every time in front of judges.
Clean code
Arduino and Python code that is explained, commented and easy to demonstrate.
Report & poster
Help with the project report, diagram, observations and display chart.
Presentation coaching
Mock judging sessions so students explain clearly and answer questions.
Parts & kit
Components from Kod2Kids, delivered across India, with spare parts advice.
Preparation plan
A typical plan; the timeline adjusts to the event date.
| Stage | When | What happens | Output |
|---|---|---|---|
| Idea & research | Week 1 | Understand rules, pick a problem, research existing solutions | Approved idea and parts list |
| Design | Week 1–2 | Circuit diagram, sketches, coding plan | Design sheet |
| Build & code | Week 2–4 | Assemble model, write code, test and fix | Working prototype |
| Polish | Week 4–5 | Improve reliability, add display and labels | Exhibition-ready model |
| Present | Final week | Report, poster, mock judging and Q&A practice | Confident presenter |
Competitions & exhibitions, explained
Robotics competition preparation
Robotics competitions test design, coding, teamwork and problem solving under time pressure. Our mentors explain the rulebook, help students design a robot for the specific challenge, such as line following, maze solving or obstacle courses, and run timed practice rounds. Students learn to debug quickly, which is often what separates winners.
School science exhibition project guidance
For school science exhibitions, judges value an original idea that solves a real problem, a model that works and a student who can explain it. We guide children through each step and make sure the work stays the student’s own. The mentor teaches; the child builds and presents.
Who can join?
Students from Class 4 to 12 preparing for school exhibitions, district and state science fairs, ATL events, robotics olympiads and inter-school competitions. Teams of two to four students are welcome.
How the mentoring works
Sessions are live online, with optional extra sessions in the final week. Components can be ordered from the Kod2Kids kit store and delivered across India.
How it works
From first call to first project in about a week.

Meet the mentor
Your child builds a mini project live with a Kod2Kids mentor while you watch how a class works.
Pick a plan & start
Choose the track for your child’s class and a weekly schedule. Kits and books reach your home.
Build, showcase, grow
Every course ends with a project, a certificate and a place on our Student Showcase.
Projects your child will build
Real, working projects, not just theory.

Frequently asked questions
Everything parents ask us before the first class.
Do you build the project for the student?
No. Mentors guide and teach; students build, code and present their own work, which is what judges expect.
Which competitions do you prepare students for?
School and inter-school robotics events, science fairs, ATL showcases and robotics or coding olympiads. Tell us the event and we plan around its rules.
How much time is needed?
Four to six weeks is ideal. Shorter timelines are possible with more sessions per week.
Can teams join?
Yes. Teams of two to four students can be mentored together.
Where do we get the components?
We share a parts list and can supply kits and components, delivered across India.
Do you also support schools?
Yes. We organise inter-school robotics competitions and support whole-school science exhibitions.
