App & Web Development Classes for Kids who want to build real products
Your child designs and codes their own website and Android apps with a live mentor, learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript and app design, and publishes projects they can show to anyone.
Why app & web development?
Websites and apps are how the world works today. Kids who can build them think like product creators.
Real websites
Children build a personal website, a portfolio and an interactive page using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Real mobile apps
Block-based App Inventor for beginners and simple cross-platform apps for seniors, tested on a real phone.
Design thinking
Kids learn layout, colours, user experience and how to plan screens before coding.
Publish & share
Projects are published online so family, teachers and friends can try them.
Logic that sticks
Events, variables, functions and data make computer science concepts concrete.
Portfolio & certificate
A growing portfolio, monthly updates and a certificate after every level.
App & web learning path
Students can start with either web or app, then combine both.
| Level | Classes | What they build | Skills |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web Starter | Class 6–8 | Personal page, hobby blog, photo gallery | HTML structure, CSS styling, layout |
| Web Interactive | Class 7–10 | Quiz page, to-do list, calculator, mini game | JavaScript, events, DOM, logic |
| App Starter | Class 6–9 | Talking app, quiz app, drawing app on Android | App Inventor blocks, screens, sensors |
| App & Web Pro | Class 9–12 | Multi-page app with data, portfolio site, school project app | Data storage, APIs, responsive design |
App and web development for kids, step by step
What is the best age for web development classes?
Children in Class 6 and above can comfortably learn HTML and CSS, because typing and reading code are easier at this age. Younger children can start with Scratch and move to web development later.
How do kids build mobile apps?
Beginners use MIT App Inventor, a free block-based tool that creates real Android apps. They design screens, add buttons, use the phone’s camera or sensors and install the app on a phone. Older students move to text-based tools and learn how apps store data and call online services.
Why app and web development is valuable
Building products teaches planning, design, coding and testing together. Students learn to think about users, which is a strong skill for any career. A published website or app is also an excellent addition to school portfolios and competition entries.
How the live classes work
Classes are live with a Kod2Kids mentor, 1:1 or in batches of up to four. Students share their screen, build step by step and publish their work. Evening and weekend slots are available.
